Find out how a lender reads your business — before you apply.
Answer twelve questions about your company. Get a Capital Readiness Score out of 100 and the three things most likely to slow down, shrink, or reprice your next financing.
This is what an underwriter builds in the first twenty minutes with your file. Most owners never see it.
Is my business ready for financing?
Financing readiness is judged on five things: whether financial reporting is current and internally consistent, whether earnings cover existing and proposed debt service, whether working capital and receivables are clean, whether collateral and ownership are documented, and whether the request itself is specific. Weakness in any one typically delays, shrinks or reprices an approval rather than preventing it outright.
Does this sound familiar
You find out what the bank thinks after they have already decided.
- You are planning equipment, an acquisition, or a build, and you do not know what you can actually support.
- A facility matures in the next eighteen months and nobody has started preparing for the renewal.
- Your bank keeps asking for more information and you cannot tell whether that is routine or a warning.
- Revenue is growing but cash feels tighter every month, and you are not sure why.
- One customer has quietly become a third of your receivables.
- You suspect your financials would not survive close inspection, but nobody has told you where.

Decide what happens next
Fix them yourself, or have us diagnose them properly with a Lender-Ready Capital Pack.
This is for you if
- You run a Canadian company between $1M and $50M in revenue
- You own or manage the business — you can make the decision yourself
- You borrow, or expect to, within the next two years
- You are in construction, trades, energy services, industrial services, logistics, manufacturing, or you own commercial property
- You would rather know about a problem early than be surprised by it
This is not for you if
- You are pre-revenue or looking for start-up funding
- You want someone to find you a loan today — this tells you how ready you are, not who will lend
- You are looking for a personal or residential mortgage
- You want a formal business valuation — that requires a Chartered Business Valuator
- You are not willing to share financial information at any stage
Questions people ask first
Before you start
Is this really free, and what is the catch?+
It is free and there is no catch, but there is a commercial purpose: we think that once you see where you stand, some of you will want the detail. The score identifies what is wrong. The Lender-Ready Capital Pack explains why and what to do about it. You are under no obligation to buy anything, and nobody will call unless you ask.
Do I have to give you my financial statements?+
Not for the score. It is based entirely on your own answers to twelve questions. If you later choose a paid product, financial documents go through an encrypted portal with multi-factor authentication — never by email — and we sign a confidentiality agreement first.
How accurate can a twelve-question score be?+
It is an indicator, not an analysis, and we say so plainly on the results page. It reliably identifies the well-known reasons Canadian commercial financing gets delayed or repriced — concentration, receivables quality, coverage, documentation, and timing. It cannot tell you your exact borrowing capacity. That needs your actual numbers.
Will this affect my credit?+
No. Nothing here touches a credit bureau, and no lender is contacted at any point. This is an assessment tool, not an application.
What happens to my answers?+
The score is calculated in your browser. If you ask us to email the result, we hold your contact details and answers under our privacy policy, with a documented retention and deletion schedule, and you can request deletion at any time. We do not sell data and we do not send your information to any lender without your written instruction.
Methodology and review
Scoring weights reflect the order in which Canadian commercial credit teams review a file: documentation quality, coverage and leverage, collateral, structure, and sponsor strength.
